Known Bugs and Issues
Calling: A Side Roller » Devlog
Hi guys, here's a list of known problems with Calling that I will attempt to address when I have the opportunity.
- Jumping is extremely unreliable, it seems to be a 1/5 chance of actually jumping to the height you should when you roll above a 1. The good news is that the penalty for a critial fail works great! You're welcome.
- Volume controls do not work. This issue only became apparent when I published this build, as the controls work fine in the debugger. Since I'll have to spend hours making changes, building, testing, and repeating I will likely be putting this fix off for a while. Sorry. [EDIT: Turns out this issue is isolated to the itch version of the game, it does not occur on Kongregate]
- If you try to put two dice into the same stat slot you will lose one of them, there is code to address this but at some point it stopped working. For now just go back a page and re roll your stats.
- Similarly if you move a dice slightly out of the slot you put it in but not the whole way it just disapears! Vexing to say the least
- Sometimes a negative luck modifier can end up taking away gold from your supply, I thought I had fixed this but evidently I will have to fix it even more.
- A lot of the buttons have a tenuous relationship with functionality. Often you'll have to spam click them to get anywhere, and then you'll accidentally click one on the next page by mistake. This is by far this biggest issue, but I don't think there's much to be done except make rude gestures at the Construct editor.
